Helen BarnartHelen J. Barnhart (nee Clinker), 90, of Grafton, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Helen was born on June 21, 1928 in Lodi. She resided in Grafton for sixty-four years and was involved in community activities for many of those years.

Helen was primarily a homemaker who was a wonderful cook and a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a great lover of her cats. She was a gifted artist and for years had her own business making miniature doll house furniture. Helen was also a gifted seamstress. She was a past president of the Grafton Women's Club and was also a member of the Garden Club and Friends of the Library. She was an active member of Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene until her health kept her homebound. Although unable to swim, Helen loved the water and enjoyed spending time at the lake, whether it be on a beach, raft or boat. She was an avid Indians fan.

Helen is survived by one daughter, Linetta Bohac (Bob) and one son James "Jim" Barnhart (Amy), both of Grafton; five grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, Stephanie, Christopher and Katie and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death be her husband Richard "Barney" in 2004 and one son, Bill. Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 16, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Chuck Behrens officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship APL., 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.

Linetta & Jim - my sympathies to you and the rest of Helen\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\'s family. Jim and Linetta. So sorry to read about the passing of your mom. She came from the Greatest Generation and those folks can never be replaced. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. God bless your mother.

What a truly wonderful lady and dear friend. We were blessed when we moved across the street (1974) from Helen & Barney and began our treasured friendship which is filled with fond memories.
