Elaine was truly my hero as she faced her impending death, she fought her battle to the very end, never giving in to this horrible disease. Ron and Elaine would drive or fly to Naples in between her treatments and spend a week or two and then back to get another test or treatment. Elaine wanted to come south and live her life as normal as possible in between the treatments that changed her looks but not her spirit. I can only hope that I will be as brave as Elaine when death comes knocking at my door. May she Rest In Peace.
